Images of the future is the result of a collaboration between scienceplusfiction (Trieste international science fiction festival) and CEC (Udine Film center). The screenings will take place every week in Udine (Visionario), Gorizia (Kinemax), Pordenone (Cinemazero) and Trieste (Ariston). Besides, every week one of the screenings will be followed by a meeting and a discussion with important journalists and scientific communicators as well as film critics.

Five appontments between science and science-fiction, with a circulating programme among the province towns of Friuli Venezia Giulia, between Januray, 15 and February, 16, to tackle the issue of innovation as challenge to the future, vision of possible worlds, way for opening up perspectives of utopia and dystopia, place of the technological revolution dreamt of, hypotised or already surpassed.

The event is part of InnovAction 2007 – The Fair of Knowledge, Ideas and Innovation (Fiera di Udine 15 - 18 febbraio 2007).
